Smoky Skies


If you might have heard California has been dealing with many wildfires around the state. I live about 100 miles from a couple of them and it has affected the skies and air quality. This is a photo of the sun I took this morning. I don't know if you can see how hazy it is. The area around sun would normally be blue but it's been grayish, brown for the past week, and you can smell the smoke from these fires whenever you're outside.

Visiting Oracle

Today I went to have lunch with a friend who works at Oracle and in the lagoon was displayed a boat Larry Ellison used in a boat race.


The two items above gives a description of the boat. One give a history and list who did what on the boat. The other shows where eat person/job is located. It lists Larry Ellison as an "Afterguard" but I could not find it in the list of crew members.




Ouch...Welcome to the San Francisco Bay Area. We hear the gas prices just reached $4 but we've been paying that for the last few months. I'm not sure why we pay more than the rest of the country but it's making living here a financial headache...

This is my first post and as you can see I'm a Winnie the Pooh fan. This is my "travel" Pooh. I take it with me whenever I travel. I will post photos of where its traveled.
