Upcoming trip to Hong Kong...

I will be going on a trip to Hong Kong the first week of November with my parents. It should be fun since it's been a few decades when my parents left; and they will be my translator. Sad to say I can't speak the language since I grew up in the suburbs.

I'm definitely looking forward to all the food "options" available. To be honest I'm a wimp when it comes to "authentic" Chinese food, I'll leave that to Anthony Bourdain and Andrew Zimmern. :o) I will try some of the street food and maybe ( a very hesitant maybe) a scorpion, if I can find it. My biggest concern will be the tainted milk problem. I will have to make sure no one eats anything with milk or milk byproducts. Unfortunately that also means I cannot bring back any Oreo wafer cookies. :o( They're similar to wafer cookie here but not as sweet.

Given I'm a big Disney (Winnie the Pooh) fan, one of the destinations I'm looking forward to is the Hong Kong Disneyland. It will be interesting to see how Disneyland has assimilated with the Hong Kong culture.
